A leading oil and gas major client is looking for a Planner to join their team in Farnborough. As Planner you will be responsible for working with the Logistics Scope Owner planners to define, document, and status the Logistics’ plans, as well as the Logistics Execution, using Primavera P6.
This position reports to the P6 Planning Lead. The P6 Planner will act as a focal point for capturing detailed level 3+ schedule tasks and milestones from the Logistics Scope Owners ensuring:

- The Logistics Movement Books are established and maintained with within P6 and Garner
- A robust linkage exists between Scope Owners, Logistics Scheduling, Interface Management, and Stakeholders
- Direct coordination with the Logistics Optimization Team and the Logistics Stakeholder Management lead
- Supporting the direct interface with the Project Schedule in P6 through liaison with the Logistics Lead Scheduler;
- Support definition of logistics processes for contractual / procedural interface / interface points;
- Support the project controls manager with the development of detailed operational logistics processes;
- Programming and Optimization;
- Translate interface/integration process to resource-loaded schedules (Levels 3+);
- Interpreting SOW and translating key activity/deliverable requirements to the Schedule;
- Develop / Update / maintain the internal logistic schedule including resource loading;
- Provide direct interface with embedded planners in each of the Logistics functional/delivery teams;
- Assist the core / project planning team as required;
- 5 years’ experience in Primavera P6
- Minimum 10 years professional experience
- Excellent Primavera P6 and MS Excel skills with good formulaic knowledge is a must
- Experience as a P6 Planner in the last 7 years on an EPC team
- Excellent understanding of Construction and Logistics progress measurement, scheduling logic, Levels 1-4 schedules, critical path, milestones, earned value, productivity, rebaselining attributes, S-curves, scenario planning/analysis,
- Mitigation scheduling is a must allied with very strong communication and interpersonal skills, as daily progress meetings will have to be attended.
- Demonstrate a strong analytical approach to problem solving
- High level of competence in MS Office: Access, Visio, Word, Powerpoint and Excel
- An Engineering/Mathematics degree is a preference
- Previous experience of operational logistics and logistics planning
- 5 years Oil and/or Gas Industry Experience an advantage but not critical
