Description

  • Ensures the plant is in compliance with all international and local safety regulations and maintains and updates policies and record keeping requirements including log documentation and posting.
  • Cultivates a team based EHS culture and provide associated documentation supporting a strong EHS program.
  • Serves as a resource and facilitator to the Safety Committee, Plant Emergency Response Team, and other teams which comprise the safety and risk management process. Ensures meeting minutes are maintained as needed.
  • Provides leadership in the development of Plant and Corporate EHS goals and Monthly Safety statistics and reports plant results in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates with Safety Committee and Management on plant Safety promotions, and Contractor Safety Program
  • Develops or outsources and coordinates all of the training associated with health, safety, wellness. Coordinates new hire, existing and contractor employee training. Maintains training calendar and register.
  • Coordinates all accident and near miss investigations, completes necessary paperwork, communicates findings and manages corrective actions with Management, Safety Committee and Group Members.
  • Works, as a trusted professional, with highly confidential information.
  • Maintains professional attitude and appearance. Team oriented. Ability to work through consensus without compromising the safety and well-being of employees, contractors, or visitors. Ability to handle multiple projects. Works independently.
  • Conducts audits to ensure compliance with all EH&S policies and programs. Ensures site is in compliance with relevant requirements, and that records are maintained regarding all compliance activities
  • Acts in an advisory role providing risk management consultation to site leadership on all ES&H issues?

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master degree 
  • Preferably NEBOSH certified 
  • Practical experience as HSE Specialist
  • 5- 10  years HSE experience  within construction projects in a multicultural environment 
  • Broad experience in risk assessment (loading/unloading, welding works, works at height, etc)
  • Good communication skills and ability to explain and persuade
  • Strong training and coaching skills  
  • Mandatory Language skills English and Russian
