Chemical Process Engineer / England

We are currently recruiting for a Chemical Process Engineer on a contract basis in the North West. Our client is a world leader in the manufacture and production of chemicals across the globe and the successful candidate should have on site experience working on large scale Fine Chemicals/Pharma/ Batch Processing.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead major projects to establish new plant and production processes
• Project manage a number of projects to improve and modify existing plant
• Provide development, support and training
• Champion area of technical innovation
• Contribute directly to the improved process safety standards
• Support the Manufacturing Excellence culture
• Working within a team of chemical engineers to deliver the company strategy
• Must also have a strong working knowledge of HSE standards, which may typically include Risk Assessment (HazOp/HAZAN), design and definition of relief streams, SIL/SIS, LOPA, ATEX, DSEAR

Essential

• Degree qualified Chemical Engineering background
• MIChemE or close to qualifying
• Fine chemicals manufacturing background
• Experience of small production scale organic distillation
• Trouble shooting/ problem solving
