Maintenance Planner – Bedfordshire
An established and growing leading Manufacturing company is looking to increase its capabilities and processes by adding an Engineering Planner to their team. The right person for this role will have experience in CMMS, and be a time served apprentice in either mechanical or electrical engineering maintenance. This is a permanent position working days, Monday to Friday with a salary between £40,000 and £48,000 depending on experience.

Manufacturing, production, conveyors, planned maintenance, maintenance, time served, apprentice, electrical, PLC, Siemens, inverter quarry, clay, concrete, brick, FMCG, team leader.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring the smooth running and reliability of all plant equipment
- Responsible for the proactive maintenance planning services
- Engineering spares and inventory
- Equipment, tools and parts available and categorised
- Coordinate facilities maintenance from both internal and external services to meet statutory and operational compliance while ensuring that standard for health, safety and environment, quality, people, and performance are delivered on personal and team levels
- Meet and exceed KPI’s
- Zero tolerance approach to health and safety breaches
- Minimise wastage of energy by ensuring correct maintenance processes
- Work closely with the Engineering Operations Manager to ensure a proactive approach to the prevention and maintenance of equipment
- Apprentice trained Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
- Experience and knowledge of CMMS
- Planning and Organisation skills
- Experience of leading a team
- Heavy Industry Background
- Problem solving and analysis
- Higher qualifications in engineering (HNC, ONC)
- Lean Manufacturing /Continuous Improvement
- Knowledge of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- IOSH/NEBOSH
- Experience of large capex installation projects
- £40,000 to £48,000
- Monday – Friday days role
