Description

  • The Offshore Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for planning and executing logistics activities on the rig.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide logistics support to the DSV, onshore logistics and the rest of the team
  • Provide cost efficient plans for use of helicopter transport and supply vessels
  • Ensure cost efficient and timely use of equipment and personnel
  • Ensure correct use of the Company provided logistics system (WELS) and ensure time planner is correct
  • Participate in daily rig calls and logistics meetings with updated plans for equipment and personnel
  • Responsible for rig inventory control and timely backload of equipment
  • Challenge use of backup tools based on a cost vs. benefit evaluation wrt cost and space requirements Coordinate wth deck crew, storekeeper, offshore planner and 3rd party representatives for the safest and most efficient equipment handling on the rig.


  • The role will work closely with offshore Performance Planner to ensure equipment is available for AUX facilities to be used as much as possible
  • The Offshore Logistics Coordiator should cooperate & coordinate closely with: Onshore Logistics Specialist, Crane operator and Storekeeper, Offshore Performance Planner, Offshore 3rd Party Service Personnel and Onshore Logistics Duty Personnel

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or certificate of apprenticeship witin logistics combined with strong discipline experience in Logistics/Operations Management/Industrial Management
  • Minimun 5 years relevant experience preferrably within the Oil & Gas business
  • Relevant experience within operations & drilling Offshore experience from drilling rigs
  • Knowledge and understanding of Norwegian rules & regulations
  • Good understanding of IT Tools like SAP and WELS
