Standards Engineer / Canada

We are a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, is currently seeking a Standards Engineer to be based out of Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities: 

• Structural editing and formatting of documents to comply with standards style guide reference (documents include but not limited to Engineering Standards, internal documents within Engineering Services and external publications)
• Contribute to the development of style guide references for standards and Engineering Services documentation
• Apply document management skills to merge multiple draft content into single source file, manage and file the draft, master and historic standards and specifications
• Develop training programs related to technical publications
• Assist in the development and execution of process improvements for standards and other technical publications
• Maintenance of Engineering Services Portal and associated Teamsites, IHS database, and issue notification of new releases
• Consult on the development of format and functionality additions to Engineering Services Portal and associated Teamsites
• Development of information solutions and tools for department level Teamsite
• Maintain and upload standards and specifications stored on the Governance Document Library. This includes documents and all related metadata

• Advanced understanding of various Content Management Systems
