Overview:
The Inventory Technician is responsible for reconciliation of inventory including raw materials, intermediates, finished products and blends. This includes reviewing all SAP process orders for accuracy, monitoring of booked versus physical inventory differences, evaluation, determination and correction of transactional errors. The inventory specialist works with multifunctional groups such as logistics, procurement, planning, technical and the training department. The inventory technician works closely with the finance department and receives work direction from the Business Planning Operations Assistant. Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):
• Prior Accounting or Finance experience

This includes reviewing all SAP process orders for accuracy, monitoring of booked versus physical inventory differences, evaluation, determination and correction of transactional errors. The inventory specialist works with multifunctional groups such as logistics, procurement, planning, technical and the training department. The inventory technician works closely with the finance department and receives work direction from the Business Planning Operations Assistant. Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):
- Review all SAP process orders and receipts for accuracy and correct if needed
- Monitor booked vs. physical inventory differences by researching and making the necessary adjustments to minimize gaps
- Evaluate, determine root cause, and correct transactional errors which are associated with loads, unloads, and/or transfers
- Analyze all transactions to identify inherit system or equipment problems and propose solutions to resolve issues
- Work with Finance/Accounting to reconcile inventory differences
- Work with Logistics on issues with loads and Procurement to complete unloads
- Work with Planning for creating/scheduling of rework/ trial/re-blend process orders
- Work with Technical to correct equipment and/or BOM issues
- Work with trainers to identify training issues and assist in developing job aids specific to the area
- Experience in SAP systems to manage inventory and/or master data
- Strong analytical skills to identify transactional errors
- Ability to utilize systems and data to investigate imbalances and identify root causes
- Demonstrated capacity to analyze transactional flows
- Ability to work alone with minimum supervision
- Strength in both verbal and written communication
- High degree of initiative demonstrated in past roles
- Ability to stay focused and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively interact with team members and/or management, providing clear, logical recommendations in a concise manner
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Ability to maintain/develop effective relationships with peers and other support groups
• Prior Accounting or Finance experience
