This role represents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and degree qualified Health and Safety Advisor to secure their next long term contract working client side in the Melbourne CBD. You will be joining a world renowned energy company and assigned to oversee a range of exciting upcoming projects. An excellent hourly rate will be provided as well as the opportunity to work for a true global leader.
This is a corporate role and you will need to reside or be able to reside in Melbourne and be prepared to work between 40 to 45 hours per week - Monday to Friday. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering Improvements to field and office related manual task activities / ergonomics. This will require you to coordinate and implement risk mitigation action outcomes from manual task assessments. The PPE program - including analysing where improvements can be made to PPE provided to field based staff - will also form part of the job description as will monitoring effectiveness of health and safety practices, identified gaps or continuous improvement opportunities. You will also participate in or lead investigations as required.
To be considered you will need to satisfy the following criteria.
- Bachelor’s degree in OHS or related discipline;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in safety-related positions in Australia;
- Knowledge of Australian workplace legislation, processes and procedures;
- Proficient in use of computers and programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Microsoft Office;
- Demonstrated ability to deliver excellence in project OHS performance; and
- Demonstrated ability to develop successful internal and external working relationships with emphasis on interfacing in a team environment.
