Procurement Manager / Australia

Due to the question of new contracts and continued business growth we have an immediate requirement for a Procurement Manager to join our client on a permanent basis, this is a residential role and the project is expected to be operating from Monday to Friday for the duration of the project. An overview of the role is below:

• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate (with the Contract Manager support) contracts, policies and deadlines with suppliers and vendors contracts, and deliveries, negotiating prices and terms.
• Monitor prices by product and vendor to predict and account for financial fluctuations.
• Manage flow of goods and supplies for optimum production.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and purchase requisitions, and maintain documentation of the acquisition of goods.
• Review historical and competitive costs to identify cost savings opportunities and variances.
• Analyze category, service, material, and vendor costs to provide key decision information.
• Review financial goals and provide metrics to understand and report on initiatives and cost structure.
• Ensure books and databases are up to date and accurate.
• Manage staff and vendors for timely arrival of products and goods.
• Evaluate, select, and procure suppliers, conducting vendor performance and financial analysis to inform decisions.
• Work cross- functionally to obtain information and recommendations on materials, equipment, and services for potential procurement.

You will have a proven track record of dealing with external suppliers as well as managing internal stakeholders.  It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal skills, in return the client is offering a competitive salary package.
