Gas Commercial Operations Analyst / UAE

Our client in Dubai, UAE have a permanent requirement for a Gas Commercial Operations Analyst

The main purpose of the role is to support the Gas Commercial Operations Manager in managing the commercial aspect of the contractual relationship between LNG and Pipeline Gas suppliers/shippers, operations and Commercial and Strategy.

REQUIREMENTS:

Educational Qualifications:

Degree qualified in either Engineering, or a Business discipline.

Experience Profile:

Strong experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in LNG or pipeline gas.

Experience in the commercial optimisation of major oil/gas assets, in particular shipping and terminal operations, pipelines.

Extensive knowledge of gas and LNG commercial agreements.

Competencies/Skills

Ability to work and engage constructively with all internal and external stakeholders.

Highly effective interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written English communication skills.

Strong commercial acumen.

Strong analytical skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

DUTIES:

Ensure successful delivery of LNG to terminal/s by planning and coordinating the cargo schedules with all stakeholders, lead the ship-terminal and marine assurance processes, managing the communication and documentation of LNG deliveries and being responsible for the commercial/risks overview on the contractual, operational and marine aspects of the LNG delivery programme.

Provide operational and marine expertise associated with the commercial operations of the Terminal and associated Agreements.

Develop the LNG Annual Delivery Programme

Coordinate the communications to Operations/ Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) /Suppliers/Third Party contractors on expected arrival of vessels, cargo size, unloading, regasification, send-out rates, projected laytime ensuring full alignment with the terminal technical capabilities, maintenance programmes, and gas planners requirements

Operate the scheduling tool for LNG inventory control, cargo scheduling and send-out analysis ensuring compliance with the gas systems (GCS' gas distribution plan).

Manage and monitor the Gas and LNG commercial operations (e.g. Ship Compatibility, Vetting, Quality and Quantity Measurement, Nominations, FSRU Quarterly Performance Review) ensuring compliance with relevant commercial agreements.

Manage the required delivery of documents and processes e.g. for LNG- Invoice Settlement, Customs Procedures; for Gas - Support the Daily/ Monthly Reporting and Gas Billing Statements

Operationalise all commercial elements of new or existing LNG Commercial Agreements, Charter Party Agreements, Gas Supply/Sales and Storage Agreements

Provide analytical support, where required, for gas/LNG portfolio planning activities.

Provide commercial operations input into new gas/LNG agreements.
