We have an urgent vacancy to work for an oil and gas EPC company based in London .
- Contract position - 5 months maybe longer.
Senior Oil and Gas Architect:
Architectural Engineer to be based in our clients London office for an assignment of approximately 5 months to carry out building layout and design in the Oil and Gas sector.
Will work under direction of Lead Architect to carry out design and drafting activities, will supervise designers in London and be responsible for instructing and checking work of designers overseas.
Will be responsible for delivering on time and within allocated hours Detailed Front End Engineering layout and design for building types including the following: -
- Industrial buildings including substations, instrument shelters, operator shelters, etc.
- Oil and Gas specific process buildings
The buildings will be located onshore or on Islands. The onshore concrete buildings will typically be cast in situ concrete or structural steel. The buildings on Islands will be precast or modularized. Ideally onshore building type as listed above is essential and offshore building type is beneficial.
Will also need to coordinate with engineers and other disciplines locally, with engineers and architects in overseas office as well as coordinating with and reviewing architectural drawings submitted by subcontractors and overseas office.
The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, outstanding design capabilities, good problem-solving capabilities, experience of building drawing production for middle east projects, be proficient in the production of architectural specifications, strong technical knowledge of building construction/detailing, be proficient with Industry and International construction codes.
Ideally the successful candidate will be able to use drafting software such as (AutoCAD or MicroStation required, MicroStation preferred). Proficiency with SketchUp preferred.
