LQ HSE Engineer

Job Purpose

Act as a focal point for HSE issues related to the execution of the FLNG Work Package providing support and advice, and ensuring that the work package follows Company requirements and industry best practice in all HSE matters.

ROLE DEFINITION

Main Responsibilities

- Review and monitor the implementation of the Contractor HSE plan during the detail design, procurement, construction installation and commissioning phases of the LQ work package of the FLNG
- Ensure the implementation of the Contractor HSE Integrated Management System (risk management, procedures, emergency plan, etc.) and Company Project HSE Plan for the design, construction, commissioning of the LQ FLNG, focused on:
o Emergency procedures and escape ways
o Firefighting systems
o Health aspects of the LQ
o Etc.
- Ensure the application of the risk assessment tools and controls by Contractor
- Liaise with the Technical Safety Engineer on the different design safety aspect of the LQ Work Package and outline an accommodation management plan
- Ensure a prompt Accident/Incident investigation and reporting in compliance with the Company procedures
- Develop, maintain and disseminate accurate HSE statistics, reflecting Project HSE performance against established goals
- Ensure the adequate HSE training and awareness of team
- Ensure the correct supervision of the onsite activities with particular focus to the operational safety procedure applied by Contractor
- Coordinate the HSE officer activities and tasks
- Analyse jointly with Contractor the working safety conditions and generates action plan, setting reasonable deadlines and controls over the execution
- Take part in the Third Party and routine technical inspection of structures, equipment, machinery, ventilation system, and in particular the Safety and Environmental Critical Elements (firefighting, F&G detection, etc.) of the FLNG LQ

Key Activities

- Ensure the correct supervision of the onsite activities with particular focus to the operational safety procedure applied by FLNG Contractor
- Develop, maintain and disseminate accurate HSE statistics, reflecting Project HSE performance against established goals
- Attend the coordination meeting

Reports to FLNG HSE Manager
