Position description - Accountabilities
Accountable for project HSE, cost, schedule, and quality performance.
Accountable for interfacing with and managing design-engineering firm to deliver an Issued for Construction drawing package. Accountable for on-time engineering deliverables and prompt responses to construction requests for information.
Accountable for bidding out packaged equipment and construction packages.
Accountable for expediting and ensuring QC of packaged equipment and materials.
Accountable for interfacing with construction personnel and contractors to ensure performance is being tracked and continuously improved. Provide active field construction support during the execution phase and support other project engineers when required.
Experience and Qualifications required
B.S. Degree: Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
7 to 15 years engineering experience in Oil and Gas. Onshore upstream experience is preferred.
Experience in Project Management is required. Experience working across a projects organization (e.g. with construction superintendents, project services team, development engineers, ventures) to ensure delivery.
Skilled at managing contractor performance and experience working with commercial arrangements.
Ability to generate Investment Proposals and Authority for Expenditures (AFEs).
Familiarity with upstream well sites and initial processing equipment is preferred.
Effective management of project risks. Integrate operational requirements and philosophies into the project execution.
A number of the operational sites have complex external stakeholder relationships which need to be included in overall project management and day to day project execution.
Additional comments
Frequent travel (1-2 times a month) to sites is expected.
