Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer/ Mining Engineer

My Client is urgently seeking a Geotechnical engineer in Lesotho. It is required for the engineer to have experience working underground either in mining or hydropower on at least 1 project. This is an exciting position and offers to be a long term solution for the successful candidate.

Job Specification:

• Should have at least ten (10) years' involvement in the site investigation, design and

construction of tunnels and associated works, including water transfer or hydropower

tunnels in hard rock, by both Drill & Blast and TBM methods of excavation.

• Must have a degree in Geotechnical / Civil / Mining Engineering, and be a Professional

Engineer or equivalent registered professional.

Specific Tasks to include:

- Geotechnical specialist for the design team, to be resident in Lesotho during

relevant stages in the design

- Oversee and conduct geotechnical designs, including excavation and support

design, and technical documentation for the works

- Technical support to site team during construction

Location: Lesotho

Salary: $5000 - $8000 per month
