Team Leader Dams and Hydropower Feasibility Study - Pakistan

My client is urgently seeking a replacement for the TL role to complete Phase 2 of the Feasibility Study on Hydropower Project in Pakistan. Please find below some background information.

Main Data

* Single dam and long tunnels, or cascade of dams and shorter tunnels
* Underground powerhouses / surface powerhouses
* Installed capacities from 1,600 MW to 4,000 MW
* Design heads from 69 m to 180 m

The original tender for the preparation of a feasibility study for the HPP was meant to be based on a layout, which had been identified by a previous conceptual study prepared in year 1984. During the inception phase, instead of one, three cascading projects were recommended by the Consultants and it was agreed by WAPDA to move forward conducting a feasibility study for site, and to develop conceptual layouts for other sites.

The feasibility Study of main site and conceptual studies of other sites were to be completed by the Consultants in Phase-I of the study up to August 2018.

The scope of Work for Phase-2 includes the Feasibility Study several sites on the basis of conceptual Studies prepared in Phase-1 under the original Consultant.

The preferred commencement date would be in January 2019. The assignment will have duration of approx. 6 months. All tasks must be carried in in the project office in Lahore.


Minimum Requirements according to the ToR

* He should at least be Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. A Master in Civil Engineering will be given additional weightage.

* He should have specific experience of working in senior techno-managerial position with at least 10 years as Team Leader on relevant projects.

* The incumbent should have minimum experience of 25 years with at least 12 years in study related activities.

* He should be able to lead the team of the consultants assist WAPDA in timely completion of the services with a quality output.

Mobilization: January 2018 ASAP

Assignment Length: 6 Months

Salary: 10,000 15,000 USD Per Month (negotiable)
