This role represents a great opportunity for an experienced Shutdown Manager in the oil and gas industry to secure their next contract opportunity working on the client side in South-Eastern Victoria. You will be joining a high profile and well respected oil and gas operator and be responsible for managing a diligent shutdown team working across a range of planned outages in the first six months of 2018.
The successful candidate here will assume overall responsibility for execution and planning upcoming shutdowns. In the process, you will control and Manage the entire activities and additional/intervention scope. This will require close liaison with the Project Manager, Client Shutdown Management, Maintenance Team and Contractors, to ensure that scheduled shutdown is planned and executed in accordance standards and procedures. It is critical to develop robust short and long term workscopes to ensure that all scope related work is completed that will enhance the reliability and profitability of the facility as well as meeting all legal and OHS requirements. You will take responsiblity for safety environmental requirements, special tools and any other special or additional instructions needed.
To be considered, previous Shutdown Management experience, ideally working client side and ability to handle critical situations. We are seeking an excellent team leader, with strong verbal and written communication skills and should be able to lead and manage large multinational personnel at the site.
