My client, the largest oil & gas operator in Denmark are urgently seeking a Decommissioning Engineer to facilitate safe and efficient recycling and waste management for their current Redevelopment project, on a long-term contract basis.

You will be a specialist engineer with knowledge of Danish environmental legislation (waste management / recycling) in the Oil & Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

* Oversee and follow up upon Company's contractors, being offshore removal contractors and onshore recycling yards.

* Ensure waste management compliance towards environment and Authorities.

* Maintain Permit schedule within Decommissioning department.

* Plan and participate in yard readiness audits.

* Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews, HAZID, lay-out review etc.

* Review and follow-up on recycling yard procedures, permits, readiness, etc.

* Setup Company representatives at the onshore yards for success (e.g. relevant training and knowledge required)

* Co-ordinate with other disciplines in project team, to assure continual iteration of optimal solutions and alignment of interfaces.

* Evaluations of options to ensure optimum solutions are selected.

* Provide technical direction and review design from removal Contractor.

* Review and follow-up on offshore removal preparation works

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

* Dedicated engineer with relevant recycling and waste management experience, preferably from onshore yards

* A candidate that understands the legislative requirements and how to comply

* Open-minded, innovative and a pragmatic "can do" attitude

* A candidate with flexibility to travel, including offshore surveys/campaigns

* Familiarity with industry practise and standards

* Knowledge of planning and executing of offshore work

* Understanding of broader implications of technical work, e.g. operability, brownfield modifications requirements, economics, etc.

* Sufficient experience to be able to work independently on facilities and across disciplines with minimal guidance.
