Job Description
Overview:
The position is responsible for the implementation and utilization of planning procedures, tools, and techniques for optimized schedule performance.
Responsibilities:
o Coordinates with the project teams to develop Owner’s team schedules and high level overall project schedules.
o Prepares and manages overall master project schedule integrating the project work breakdown structure using an appropriate scheduling software package.
o Develop planning activities, duration's and logic in Primavera.
o Proactively engages with disciplines to establish schedules as well as identify and resolve issues.
o Generates schedule reports and works with Project Controls on progress and resource reporting, monitoring and analyses. Reports and analyzes monthly deviations from plan.
o Plan, organize, and supervise schedule resource loading and leveling
o Identify critical paths including critical float path analysis.
o Prepare Risk analysis report.
o Evaluates allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progress.
o Works closely with Project Controls for change management and corresponding impacts on project schedules as well as evaluation of earned value.
o Support planning/project lead in conducting integrated planning reviews (IPRs).
o Supports bench marking activities.
o Participates in project reviews, assurances and risk assessments.
o Assists in development of planning procedures in conjunction with Planning Lead.
o Prepares and issues updated project schedules.
o Interface with Client on planning and work progress related issues.
o Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or other related discipline preferred and a minimum 10 years' planning experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Skills:
o Strong knowledge and understanding of cost estimation, budgeting and cost control for all aspects of Engineering, Procurement and Construction.
o Earned Value Management experience.
o Excellent verbal, written and communication skills required.
o Practical experience of operating Project Controls for planning aspects of projects.
o MS Office (Power Point, Excel and Word) proficiency required.
o Planning software proficiency required. |
