We are recruiting a Transportation & Distribution System Lead (Permanent Position) based in Prague on behalf of a multinational client
Job Description
Located in Prague we are recruiting for a Transportation and Distribution System Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Understand the company's complex logistics activities, workflows, systems, organization, and outputs to ascertain and plan for a successful future state
- Lead the IT delivery and IT systems used to support the logistics and distribution activities
- Develop strong relationships with Global IT Teams, ERP, Analytics, PMO, etc. to ensure that the business needs are being met and appropriately resourced and planned
- Implement new and improved logistics, transportation, and distribution operations that will be effective, properly maintained, and efficiently operated
- Use data analysis to actively identify new and innovative ways to track business performance, and suggest additional ideas for drivers and removing obstacles in our delivery
- Provide recommendations to close any design and control gaps identified
- Oversee and execute on process changes and improvement, technology upgrades and using new IT technologies to improve the business
- Develop and implement a transportation and distribution IT asset management strategy to support the company's financial goals and capital planning efforts
- You will be part of a global team but you will act as the in-region point of contact for all IT logistical efforts and as such you will drive a strong collaboration with your business partners
Job Requirements
Certifications:
- Certified Supply Chain Professional / Certified in Logistics, Transportation & Distribution preferred
- IT or Project Certifications, PMI, Prince, ITIL
- Education Requirements: Undergraduate degree in Information Technology or Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Skill Preference:
- 5-7 years of progressive experience across Information Technology, logistics, distribution, and transportation operations
- Experience leading with data analysis to make decisions on process or system changes
- Extensive people and stakeholder/relationship management experience in a logistics and supply chain environment
- Experience with selecting, on-boarding, and managing vendors and transportation and distribution services providers
- Prior project management skills in logistics, transportation, and distribution with an excellent track record of achievement
- JDE, Oracle or other ERP experience preferred
- Advanced Visio process flow mapping experience preferred
- Experience working in a regulated or tightly controlled industry, GxP, FDA regulated
