Job Description

• Data Collation and Manipulation
• To design and conduct geological data collation programs and ensure that data is analysed and interpreted accurately and made available in a timely manner. Ensure HSSE compliance is maintained and support new business development initiatives and Operations team.
• Identify and gather appropriate exploration data and build structural/stratographic frameworks, histories and basin models, as well as conduct hydrocarbon habitat analysis, evaluate Petroleum systems and implications on exploration plans and undertake prospect screening and identification in order to support the exploration work within Block-9.
• Prospect Evaluation
• Use tools, software and techniques for applied correlating well data and characterised reservoir for integrated play and trend data mapping, traps and fluid types, lead assessment, integration, risk analysis, ranking etc. in order to evaluate and map prospects effectively.
• Data Analysis
• Conduct volumetric analysis, proven/probable/possible reserve calculations, decision tree analysis, P10/P50/P90 analysis, risking and ranking reports, economic evaluation, basic development plans etc. so that Block-9 is able to decide future actions for specific well sites
• Contribute to and where appropriate perform technical work around geological prognosis, geological predictions, design of logging programs, log interpretation, fluid analysis, coring programs, testing programs, contingency plans, drill monitoring and risk assessments, show analysis, in order to produce final well report (with full integration with other disciplines), recommendations and future plans for Block-9 management.
• Contribute to well testing procedures and results evaluation. Understanding concept of reservoir simulation, reservoir displacement, reservoir geology & framework, (stratigraphy/sedimentation), Rock types and relation to reservoir properties. Maintain knowledge of reservoir mapping processes/static models/appl.
• Provide support as required in ongoing field appraisal and development evaluations of different teams in the Company.
• G&G Database
• Ensure timely and accurate well related data example well logs, well co-ordinates, well deviations, formation tops etc. are input into the exploration software database to serve as a ready reference for all G&G staff
• Networking
• Ensure sharing capabilities with in various locations.

• Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of Geology systems, processes and practices taking into account 'international best practice', improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement

Personal Specification

• Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Geology or equivalent with knowledge of both Geophysics and Geology
• Minimum Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry in Geoscience disciplines
