My client has been operating in Abu Dhabi through all their businesses for more than 75 years and are the top foreign company active in the country.

They are now seeking a client Shareholder Representative/Asset Leader on three out of four groups of asset onshore Abu Dhabi, corresponding to 75% of the company's current production.

Responsibilities

The position holder is accountable, in its Shareholder role, for the execution, control and maintenance of the following processes:

- Ensures the suitability of the governance provided by the client's as a Shareholder of an Operated by Other Asset

- Guarantees the quality of the client's technical expertise support and the thoroughness of the company's responses to the shareholder, in particular the timely processing of requests/fulfilment of obligation towards the operator.

- Warrants strict adherence to HSE, Ethics & Compliance principles in his domain of action, including full alignment with the client policies, rules, codes and instructions.

As an Asset Leader, the incumbent:

- Ensures that the client's commitment and obligations for all related technical matters are indeed followed through and materialised under the form of tangible initiatives compatible with - and beneficial to - the shareholder's operations.

- Oversees satisfactory operation of all means put in force to achieve Technology Transfer, in particular techno hub and commitments for the extension of R&D results.

- Contributes to the fulfilment of the concession objectives, both technical and commercial, delivering the best added-value for the Shareholders and provides sufficient visibility on technical matters for consideration by the management.

Qualifications and Experience

Generalist with a broad knowledge of all various fields of petroleum activities related to onshore operations; a "petroleum architect" sensitivity or at least a significant exposure in this domain is recommended. Operational experience in Operations and Projects adds credibility and facilitates influence within the shareholder.

Vast experience with Oil & Gas operational positions of increasingly managerial content. Communication skills; good sense of organisation; perfectly fluent in English.

Compatibility with business habits prevailing in the Middle East: patience, humility, persistence/tenacity (to get things done), not easily upset...
