We are a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and direct staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the Oil & Gas Industry. Our client is a reputable operator within the oil & gas sector and has an exciting opportunity for a contracts engineer based in Perth on a 12 month contract.
Reporting directly to the Contracts manager, the contracts engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders. They will also be responsible for the award, execution, management and close out of contracts.
The successful candidate will look to achieve cost savings through the contract process as well as providing contract/procurement advice to the relevant non contracts and procurement personnel. There will be an expectation that that individual will continually assess contracts & procurement procedures and processes and assist in implementing improvements as required to support the business needs.
Candidates applying for this role must have a minimum of 5 years operations contracts and procurement experience within the resources sector. Candidates should also have a degree in business administration, law or relevant professional qualification as well as a CIPS or equivalent qualification in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
