Responsible for broad technical oversight of the contractor's fabrication and construction activities. Ensures progress is tracked and reported.
Interfaces with the design team and contractor to resolve design and constructability issues.
Review deliverable for quality, conformance to contract requirements, and consistency with other work products
Ensure that Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings are correct, complete and up-to-date
Ensure the work site quality processes are implemented and used effectively
Assist the construction team with site materials management
Verify work is completed in accordance with plans, procedures, and project specifications
Ensure construction progress is measured and reported accurately and timely
Owner of the site Management of Change (MOC) process
Owner of the site critical issues list
Recommend corrective actions where deficiencies are uncovered in contractor's performance; verify that corrective actions are taken
Provide the primary interface with project and package engineers and vendor representatives for receipt, installation, and completion of discipline-specific equipment and systems, including verification of proper maintenance and preservation
Participate in mechanical completion punch-listing and documentation and assist site inspector(s) in performing "witness" and "hold" points, as needed
Apply lessons learned from previous projects and participate in lessons learned reviews
Provide constructability input and feedback to detailed design, planning, and procedures
Verify as-built/as-installed documentation is properly maintained for specific discipline(s)
