Roles & responsibilities
- Deliver Aviation training to Unit AFF1-12 /CAP 699 for airfields up to CAT: 6 including live fire training.
- Develop a renewal plan of the Emergency response material as per the vendor requirements: SCBA Cylinders, SCBA sets, Fire fighting cloths, Trolley unit, Rescue equipment, fire truck, Fire fighting pumps at all sites…).
- Develop a systematic annual inspection and maintenance schedule of all emergency response equipment including functional testing backed by a clear standard operating procedure to ensure that all equipment potentially to be used is fit for purpose.
- Update the ERP Documents by incorporating the audit actions related to the crisis management and preparedness audits. This should include developing scenarios, good follow up.
- Experience of developing Aviation related Emergency response plans and instructions
- Ensure that Emergency Response members have been received the appropriate ER preparedness training.
- Perform competency assessment to verify that Firefighting Team are competent to perform their assigned tasks.
- Develop plan and conduct practical training at all sites to maintain the competency provide technical training on rescue at height and in confined spaces.
- Plan, prepare and implement Table-top exercises, Walk-through drills, Functional drills exercises in accordance with the emergency response plan.
- Provide training on the use of fire extinguishers, SCBAs, fire network.
- Provide the TAR related rescue planning and training.
- Monitor and ensure that the emergency response plan is updated.
- Ensure that the exercises are documented and that the improvements proposed by the sites are monitored and updated.
- Identify the equipment needs of the response teams.
- Ensure that all intervention equipment is maintained and in good working order.
- Provide technical assistance to emergency response teams.
- Update the emergency response plan at the request of the HSE manager.
- Maintain and update inventory records of all rescue and firefighting equipment across sites.
- Maintain the monitoring system by ensuring that all the activities are documented and reported in regular basis.
- Capabilities in operation of a live fire live fire air simulator.
- Practical and theatrical Training Plan For FFT
- Rescue from height training (Theory & Practical) Inspection of equipment, knots and lines. Rescue techniques and rope rescue v mechanical means rescue.
- Confined space rescue training (Practical) Hazards, Procedures to adopt, self-rescue techniques entrapment procedure 3m crawl technique, SCBA wear
- Aviation Training including monthly foam output test and fire-truck speed test. (Theory & Practical) U/C fire-fighting and associated hazards, A/C internal fire-fighting and associated hazards, Foams and foam application methods.
- Industrial fire- fighting (Theory & Practical) to include hydrocarbon fires, hose running and purging techniques, Flashover and identifying signs, extinguishers class A,B and C. Hose running and extending a line.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Recognised HSE qualification preferably at degree level and industry specific
- Min 10 years minimum experience in HSE & Fire Service Operations to include Aviation and Industrial (Oil & Gas) risks
- Experienced Fire Service Instructor; capable of developing and delivering Aviation, Industrial, working at height and confined space rescue training.
- Related industry experience in the delivery of Incident Management Training and Incident Command Training in line with current Incident Command Structure & practice
- Arabic or French speaker is an advantage
- Experience of working in remote overseas locations
