Lead Document Controller / Surrey

Lead document controller required on a contract basis in Surrey.
Candidates need onshore gas EPC experience.

Key duties include:-

• Develop and write work instructions and procedures.
• Supervise the day to day activities in Document Control.
• Resolve system issues/discrepancies and actively chase individuals to resolve problems.
• Liaise with the project team, project management and site construction team daily.
• Support the client and external vendors.
• Prepare and develop the project MDR.
• Set-up document workflows and approvals.
• Communication and training to internal disciplines to understand the project documentation requirements.
• Produce regular status reports for the project team.
• Work closely with the wider project teams to support project documentation requirements.

Skills required

The candidate should be educated to HND / HNC or equivalent, with at least 5+ years relevant experience in an EPC environment. An extensive working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, as well as a working knowledge of Open Text and Aconex would be desirable.

The candidate should be self-motivated, diligent and accurate, able to work under pressure to meet project demands, and able to respond with urgency to solve problems as they emerge. Through effective communication and coordination with the wider project team, support the business needs to deliver results. Reasonable flexibility to work additional hours to meet project deadlines during periods of peak workload will also be required.
