Contract: Project quality manager / Netherlands

The international company within the chemical industry is currently looking for an Project quality manager contractor to join their Terneuzen (Netherlands) location. In this role you will be joining an international environment.

The project: The Project Quality Manager will be dedicated to the CCS Project comprising the following scope of work: CO2 liquefaction unit and CO2 storage & ship loading.

Necessary modifications in existing plants, off sites and utilities and other infrastructure as identified during the study to integrate the new liquefaction facility into existing systems as required and to meet the project’s objectives; As-built documentation, required templates for import into SAP.

Responsibilities as an HSE-Engineer:

• Understand and implement the Yara HES requirements
• Proactively interacts with Project Management Team to ensure quality issues are effectively managed in accordance to project standards and requirements;
• Promotes a Quality culture on the project, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of YTP steering system;
• Review the technical QA/QC related Vendors and Contractors documents such as Quality Plans and ITPs (Inspection and Testing Plans) based on regulations, specifications, codes and norms, best practices and risk assessments
• Ensure that critical and special quality inspections at manufacturers workshops and at site are followed up and attended  by qualified inspectors, relevant Yara engineers and plant representatives.
• Ensure inspections are properly and timely organized and recorded in agreed inspection report templates and any technical QC related  issues are timely followed up in cooperation with the engineers.
• Monitor that non conformities in the inspection reports are identified, analyized and handled per NC mechanisem and procedure
• Ensure that the vendors/contractors eliminates the non-conformances by means of approved procedures
• Follow up Contractor implementation of the accepted QC system in manufacturing and construction
• Communicate inspections findings and issues with the Project Managers, Engineers, Purchasers and Expediting Coordinators
• Continuously improve the QC process in CCS project by keeping track of inspectors performances, vendor performances, third party inspection agencies and Yara’s input to the inspection process. (cost, time, re-scheduling)
• Identify, report and follow up any risks that may adversely impact the outcome of the QC process.
• Interact  with TPO’s and Yara Inspection network as needed and support as necessary,
• Interaction with and support to site inspection departments, during Yara Inspection Network, to get all experience exchange as possible.

Role requirements:

• Senior experience with QC process
• Senior experience in fabrication and testing processes of static mechanical equipment, specifically: material slection, welding techniques, welding qualification, coating, (non destructive) testing 
• Technical background in Mechanical Engineering
• Familiar with international codes / norms (PED, ASME, EN, ISO…)
• Experience with inspections of Fertilizer Industry static equipment (shutdown, breakdown inspection…)
• At least 10 years of experience with fabrication/construction process in a similar position.
