The Global Oil and Gas client are looking for a AUT Interpreter for a 12 month contract with potential to extend. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements
  • Carry out NDT inspection interpreting related results AUT, MUT and MT in accordance with qualified procedures, minimizing the time and assuring the best quality of the welds in respect of productivity target
  • Follow the supervisor instructions (if any)
  • Interface with Client representative in his/her working station
  • Coordinate NDT interpreter and NDT helper assigned his/her working station.
  • Monitor and report Equipment performance. Report any breakdowns, faults, or intermittent problems to AUT Supervisor. Review backup systems regularly.
  • Coordinate daily activities and instruct changes in daily Production, Safety & Quality functions.
  • Follow Supervisor Programmes.
  • Ensure all activities follow approved procedures.
  • Coordinate reporting functions and Liaise with the QC; on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Have a full understanding of Client specifications, procedures, & project plans applicable to NDT activities. Follow the directives of the AUT Supervisor.
  • Have a full understanding of vessel operations in pipe lay and standby mode.
Qualifications
  • Skilled in AUT, manual UT and/or MT with 5+ years of experience;
  • AUT competence is preferable on Pipe wizard, but other AUT system can be considered as well;
  • Mandatory: ISO 9712 L2 or 3 in UT;
  • Mandatory: ASNT L2 or L3 in AUT, with 2+ experience in AUT of pipeline;
  • Added value: ISO 9712 L2 or L3 in MT and AUT;
  • Knowledge of NDT and AUT equipment and techniques; and
  • Capability to set up equipment and NDT stations.
Skills and Experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the project: internal/external.
  • Knowledge and experience in Vessel Safety Case development and regulatory approval process.
  • Enjoy working with colleagues & clients in a multicultural environment
  • Need to have full working rights in Australia.
