The client a Global Oil and Gas Operator in Perth CBD are currently seeking Material Coordinator to join them for a 12-month contract.

Material Coordinator provides expertise in the management of materials, ensuring Operations and Maintenance requirements are met as well as ensuring optimization of appropriate levels of critical spares and stock. Material Coordinators also ensure compliance to corporate standards and materials management processes. The role must ensure that materials are correctly managed from cataloguing, procurement, storage, issuing and finally disposal.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Engagement of key Operations, Maintenance (O&M) and SCM stakeholders ensuring critical materials are mobilised in support of O&M priorities.
  • Liaising with Maintenance Planners and Schedulers to ensure high material availability for Committed work schedules.
  • Provide day to day support on Material enquiries to O&M.
  • Provide day to day support on Material Systems and Processes to external departments.
  • Engage with the Procurement team to ensure
  • Priorities are communicated of critical materials
  • Purchasing Queries are reviewed and closed with minimal delay
  • Ensure alignment of base business processes across assets by engaging with peers and other SCM departments.

  • Perform and coordinate inventory stock level reviews with O&M and Engineering to ensure:
  • Inventory stock levels are optimized
  • Inventory location is optimised
  • Liaise with the Supply Base team and Business Partners to ensure materials are moved through the SCM network to meet O&M demand.
  • Engage with Turnaround Team where required to ensure shared materials are available to meet current business priorities.
  • Act as a focal point for external material enquiries in support of ABU sharing agreements with external parties.
  • Provide support to the onsite Warehouse on SCM processes.
  • Provide support to end users on Materials specific processes:
  • Investment Recovery process
  • Stock authorisation process
  • Delivering required reports on metrics and analyses to Key stakeholders.
  • Commitment to health, environment and safety and operators best practices.
