Description:
The High Voltage Power and Communication Transmission System (HVPACTS) contract forms part of the Jansz-Io Compression (J-IC) Subsea Integration team. The HVPACTS team will be responsible for manufacture and delivery of the HV power and Communication Transmission systems from the Barrow Island (BWI) plant out to the Field Control Station (FCS). The HVPACTs package will also be responsible for the loadout, transport, installation and stabilisation of the High Voltage Submarine Cable (HVSC) from BWI to the FCS.
The HVAPCTS Package will consist of the Package Lead position located in Perth with support for offshore installation scopes also located in Perth.
The client has an exciting opportunity for a Project Subsea Engineer (HVSC T&I) to join the Jansz-Io Compression Team. Reporting to the HVPACTs Package Lead, this role will be based in Perth.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Subsea Engineer (HVSC T&I) will support the HVPACTs Package Lead in the management of the HVPACTs Supply and Installation Contract scope, including the following responsibilities:
• Supporting the HVPACTs Package Lead in the management of the HVPACTs Supply and Installation Contract scope.
o Coordinate technical interfaces with the HVAPCTs team and other JIC delivery teams
o Coordinate actions and mitigation plans for the HVPACTs execution risks
o Coordinate the technical input into the Contract management of change system
• Interface with the (CTC) Power cable installation engineers, BWI delivery team and FCS team to ensure the HVSC meets the technical requirements for installation.
• Coordinate repair analysis with 3rd party IMR contractors and develop rapid response for HVSC cable repair.
• Interfacing with the HVPACTs manufacturing lead and stabilization engineer.
• Coordinating Marine warranty surveyor input into the HVSC T&I scope
• Providing site support for the testing and loadout of the HVSC and ancillary equipment.
• Coordinate the installation of the HVSC and subsea crossing work packages.
This role will require limited international business travel.
This role will transition to an offshore role to support the execution of the work.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• 15+ years in subsea / offshore construction required.
• Engineering degree required
• Previous experience required in/with:
• offshore construction for flexible / umbilical lay
• offshore installation analysis required.
• power cable / umbilical manufacture preferred.
• Demonstrated
• interface management skills
• aptitude to organise, prioritise and deliver against Project Requirements.
• understanding Project Management Systems
• ability to identify and build key relationships that contribute to high performing teams.
