The client is currently recruiting for the position of Lead Subsea Pipelines Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* To ensure the safe delivery of a reliable Gas Export pipeline system in accordance with the project schedule, budget and objectives.
* Package management of the Gas Export pipeline contract scope which is the detailed engineering/design, manufacturing, construction and testing of the rigid pipeline system assuring that the design meets project requirements, applicable standards and engineering best practices, and developing Company's know-how in this area.
* Communicate regularly with other Company's project team personnel and external contractors to ensure that all technical, schedule and logistics interfaces are well managed.
* Efficiently manage any changes during the project in accordance with the project Management of Change procedure.
* Actively participate in QA/QC and HES monitoring, reporting, initiatives and improvements.
* Manage and participate in relevant technical/safety assurance and verification processes.
* Manage and provide progress reporting information as required.
* Provide relevant information as required to all regulatory body permit, licence, consent and notification applications.
* Manage other project engineers, site inspectors and third-party personnel as required during the delivery of the package.
* Work with the Company Subsea Technical Authorities to develop a robust pipeline system integrity monitoring and management plan.
* Plan and prepare necessary handover packages and pipeline operating procedures for the FPSO Operations team in advance of the projects Field commencing production.
* This role will be predominantly based in company's Aberdeen office but travel to other UK, international and offshore worksites will be required during the project.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Extensive rigid pipeline design, fabrication and installation career background ideally with an operator and subsea construction contractor. Previous deep water greenfield development project experience preferred but not essential.
* Technically proficient and demonstrable lead engineer experience in overseeing the specification, detailed design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of rigid pipelines including associated survey, trenching, rock dumping and tie-in activities.
* Knowledge/experience of QA/QC activities associated with rigid pipeline projects within the Oil & Gas Industry including but not limited to line pipe manufacture, pipeline welding, pipeline coatings, field joint coatings, NDT, pressure testing, etc
* Demonstrable experience in planning and executing offshore pipeline construction work scopes including interfacing with installation contractors and topside operations teams.
* Knowledge of applicable company design standards and industry specifications, guidelines and UK regulations.
* Contract management and interface management experience.
* Participated within multi discipline safety reviews including HAZOP/HAZID/HIRA.
* Strong communication skills.
* Engineering Degree, Mechanical, Civil or related Engineering Degree
* Proficient in the use of Office Software (MS Office).
