Asset Integrity Engineer
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Asset Integrity Engineer provides consultation and advice to offshore projects, maintenance, and inspection functions pertaining to static equipment issues. The primary objective is to ensure compliance with element 8 of SEMS, mechanical integrity, as outlined by 30 CFR 250.1916 and API RP 75. Also, maintain/improve reliable operation of fixed plant equipment (piping, pressure vessels, and tanks) using principles of risk-based inspection techniques in turn reducing operating and maintenance costs. Ensures that inspections meet appropriate industry standards and specifications and monitor contractor operations and productivity. Responsible for assisting with the development of all technical deliverables associated within the mechanical integrity program including evaluation and assessment of collected corrosion data, inspection scheduling, and budget control.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the review and assessment of inspection data for offshore topsides pressure systems and development of project scope and strategy documentation
- Responsible to provide technical advice to the inspection team and ensuring inspection work is executed in accordance with the Written Schemes of Examination (WSE’s)
- Responsible to manage subcontractor day-to day activities
- Responsible to ensure inspection compliance with SEMS regulations and appropriate API/ASME standards
- Responsible to review inspection data, conduct data analysis and remnant life assessments, and perform/review fitness for service assessments
- Responsible to provide timely and accurate reports to the Sr. Maintenance & Asset Integrity Engineer with suggested run/repair/replace suggestions
- Responsible to provide oversight of subcontractor activity to update and classify inspection findings in the Inspection Data Management System (IDMS) in accordance with Company standards
- Responsible to support activities associated with RBI evergreening and IDMS improvements/upgrades
- Responsible to perform periodic facility equipment and inspection history reviews to ensure adequate QA/QC of subcontractor activity
- Responsible to prepare a monthly report summarizing inspection activity and assisting the Sr. Maintenance & Asset Integrity Engineer in annual budget preparation
- Responsible to ensure effective application of new NDT techniques and technologies to improve inspection confidence for associated damage mechanisms for inspection circuits
- Responsible to maintain the Opportunity Maintenance Register and supporting project management and planning activities associated with turn-arounds
- Responsible to support/participate in internal and external audits as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Education/Training/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering
- Five (5+) years of experience closely related to the given functions and responsibilities within this document
- Industry Certifications (API 510, 570, 571, 580, 581, & 653) preferred
- Experience and knowledge of integrity management software systems (PCMS, ACET, etc.) preferred
- Thorough understanding of NDT techniques and in-service application of NDT
- Thorough understanding of defect assessment techniques in accordance with API 579/ASME FFS-1, ASME B31G, etc.
- Thorough understanding of piping (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, PCC-2) and pressure vessel (ASME Section VIII and NBIC) design, inspection, and repair codes
