Value Chain Analyst / Aberdeen

The client is currently recruiting for the position of Value Chain Analyst, based in either Aberdeen or London.

Responsibilities:
* Analysis and benchmarking of value chain options: Collect and analyse information and make recommendations in support of the development and the evolution of the company's New Energy Strategy. For CCS, this should include full value chain analysis for a number of options; inclusive of benchmarking
* Review of competitors' position to inform portfolio decisions; contribute inputs into the global portfolio of opportunities with relevant data to facilitate the prioritisation and the resource allocation recommendations.
* Analyst and synthesis of emitters landscape and target markets; this should lead towards recommendation to focus on certain market segments.
* Perform economics in case the Country Economist support not available. This might involve the development of fit for purpose assessment with increasing level of details up to detailed business case and budget requirements all focused on delivering accretive value opportunities aligned with the new energy strategy.
* Work with country economists on standardisation of economic analysis
* Input into carbon market tracking and all associated elements leading to the business maturation
* Acting in compliance with Company policies and role model the company's values, specifically regarding HSE.


Experience & Qualifications:
* Master's degree or equivalent in economics
* Benchmarking / market analysis experience
* Fluency in English (oral and written) essential
* Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills - ability to present results and issues, adjust to audience and influence on decisions
