Contracts & Procurement Specialist (Assistant Manager Level)
The Contracts and Procurement Specialist is responsible in developing procurement strategies and negotiating with suppliers and vendors
in order to acquire the most effective deals.
Responsibilities:
• Review cost proposals and pricing information.
• Prepare and administer contracts and purchase orders with specific vendors.
• Compare bids from vendors and determine, or assist with determination, to whom contracts will be awarded.
• Evaluate vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met.
• Confirm that terms and delivery dates are accurate.
• Evaluate competence of vendors and review their invoices for accuracy.
• Maintain database regarding vendors performance and quality of products and or performance.
• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Develop and implement procurement policies and systems to support the operational effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor from time to time
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field required
• At least three (3) years of related working experience
• Extensive knowledge of contract principles and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent administrative skills
• Excellent written and communication skills
