Permitting Officer

Role Summary
The Permitting Officer is responsible for managing and timely compliance of all permits and licenses required to support the project and business development of the Company as well as the operations of the Project Companies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Custodianship
• Act as the owner, custodian and focal point for all regulatory/statutory permits and requirements.
• Ensure all proofs of compliance are kept for easy retrieval, review and audit (corporate memory).
• Ensure that all original documents are properly safekept in the Company’s central records per policy.
• Implement a monitoring and documentation system, using tools/technology; review the monitoring tools for continuous improvement.

Compliance with Regulatory Permits and Licenses
• Ensure submission of all requirements for permits and licenses and that these are obtained, updated, and renewed accordingly and in a timely manner.
• Manage the database of all the applicable/pertinent permits for operations, including permits applicable to existing projects and current operations as well as those required for any planned changes (expansion or reduction) in the current portfolio.
• Develop and implement an effective License to Operate assurance program with relevant leads on permit and licenses compliance, which may include conducting audits and verification checks virtually and on-site.

Coordination with Internal and External Stakeholders
• Build trust and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., internal partners, third party operators, suppliers, local authorities, government agencies, etc.); must be trained / certified to handle such responsibilities.
• Continuously monitor industry developments and relevant legislations, keeping key internal and external stakeholders updated.
• Train and coach project and operations staff on regulatory requirements, accountabilities and liabilities.

Perform such other tasks as assigned by Immediate Supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications
• Graduate of any business course or equivalent
• Five (5) years relevant experience
• Knowledgeable in regulatory requirements in the Philippines
• Experience in stakeholder management role is required
• Demonstrates strong leadership skills and has good interpersonal skills
• Individual must be well-organized, independent, self motivated with a proactive mindset and possess negotiation skills
• Demonstrates strong collaborative behaviors, authenticity, ability to nurture relationships with stakeholders at every level, and has the capacity to conduct enabling conversations
