We are willing to consider a strong Administrator with exposure to the Oil & Gas industry given the urgency of the role.

This job role will be a 12 month contract for residential candidates in Darwin, NT.

Start date: ASAP
Location: Darwin
Roster: Monday to Friday
Hours worked: 8 hour days
Pay rate: Negotiable


Job Description
  • Responsible to the Terminal Operations Coordinator for supporting the planning, coordinating and monitoring of activities related to vessels’ acceptance, arrival, loading and departure
  • Support the Terminal Operations Coordinator to ensure terminal readiness in order to avoid impact to reputation and cost due to terminal inefficiencies
  • Assist the Terminal Operations Coordinator to facilitate loading of products and discharge of various imports at the assigned marine facilities
  • Assist the Terminal Operations Coordinator to ensure effective internal communications are in place in order to update vessel movement schedules to accommodate changing production and marketing requirements
  • Support the Terminal Operations Coordinator to ensure the accurate preparation of documentation for all exports
  • Assist the Terminal Operations Coordinator in the day-to-day interfaces with Darwin Port Authority, towage and pilotage services
  • Provide assistance to the Terminal Operations Coordinator to liaises with Operations, Production Planning, Laboratory, Safety, Vessel Agents and other personnel to reduce vessel turnaround times and minimise waste
  • Assist the Terminal Operations Coordinator to provide assistance with the development and revision of Company’s marine operating procedures to ensure timely flow of information for Shipping Documentation and Company reporting

Requirements
  • Relevant experience and proven understanding in Port and Marine Operations
  • Apply this knowledge to the accomplishment of daily tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with all relevant stakeholders
  • MSIC Card
