We are looking for a Welding / NDT Engineer for a major Operator based in London for an office based position

Activities
- Support the review of documents identified by the Surface QA/QC Lead and Engineering team.
- Review and approve PQR, WPS, pWPS and NDT procedures to ensure compliance to COMPANY requirements.
- Support large scale activities such as major Sub-CTR WPQ activities during execution by way of troubleshooting and providing guidance (best practice).
- Provide feedback/guidance to the team where necessary resulting from documentation under review.
- Ensure any deviations are clearly identified in the documentation under review.
- Support the QA/QC Lead in highlighting the key areas of concern and effectively relay solutions to the relevant site teams alongside the Discipline leads.
- Support, if needed the site (mission, welding trainings, etc.) and CTR suppliers/main sub-contractors as needed.
Accountabilities
- Support the Engineering and Quality teams to review the selected Welding and NDT as selected based on Criticality defined by the Surface Team. Reviewing and approving Welding and NDT documents to ensure the COMPANY Optimum Requirements are fully met. Supporting the QA/QC Lead and Engineering team with welding and NDT related issues for both Pipeline (PLR) and Pressure Piping (PVV) scopes.
- Interfaces with Surface QA/QC Lead and discipline specialists to Ensure the identified Welding and NDT documentation is reviewed, followed and approved to ensure all COMPANY requirements are met.
- Ensure all the documentations under review are returned in the timeline allotted and any issues or irregularities are raised to the QA/QC Lead immediately for action.
- The job holder is also accountable individually for demonstrating an exemplary behavior with regard to H3SE rules and requirements, and with regard to the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy
The Service Provider must have the following qualifications:
- Minimum 10 year’s related experience in multidisciplinary oil and gas projects in a similar role.
- Very good knowledge of both Pipeline and Pressure Piping codes, standards, and applications.
- Strong background/knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing – Radiography, Phased Array + Time of Flight Diffraction Ultrasonics and conventional Ultrasonics
- English mandatory.
- MUST have right to work in the UK
