Development Scientist - Senior
Loveland, CO
6+ month initial contract
Hourly Rate: $38-41/hr

We are seeking for a scientist to support our premiere medical device manufacturing client's reagent sustaining team. The reagent sustaining team works with engineers, scientists, writers, and manufacturers to ensure our products are available when customers need them. The individual filling this position will be responsible for investigating and correcting reagent product quality issues, including management of projects created to address these issues.
An ideal candidate would have knowledge and experience in laboratory research, reagent manufacturing, and product development. This role will be reporting to a laboratory and office in Loveland, Colorado.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Plan and run lab experiments to investigate quality issues.
* Manage projects to fix quality issues. Learn theory and operation of our instruments.
* Learn and follow our product development process.
* Videoconferencing with colleagues and suppliers, and leadership for project management meetings.
* Plan and run lab experiments.
* Document and communicate investigations.
* Project planning and status reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must have Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemical or Biological field or Military equivalent.
* Experience with particle characterization equipment.
* Experience with Multisizer, LS 13 320, and Vi-CELL.
* Experience with solution formulation, osmometry, and microscopy.
* Experience with quality systems including International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
* Good Laboratory Practice, and Good Manufacturing Practice
* Experience with collecting, organizing, interpreting, and presenting research data
* Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
* Strong deductive reasoning and problem?solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience with technical writing.
* Living within or able to relocate to the metropolitan area of our Loveland lab.
