A major oil and gas operator is looking for a Business Analyst to support operations in Midland, TX on a M-F schedule working 8 hrs a day, 40 hrs a week. This is a 12 month contract opportunity with the potential for extension or permanent hire.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide administrative and technical support through analysis and interpretation of data for reporting purposes and allocation of monthly production volumes to producing wells.
• Setup well, completions, meters, tanks, equipment in ProCount.
• Connect and maintain allocations setups, allocation methods and gathering systems
• Verify allocated data completeness troubleshoot issues identified in reports and resolve discrepancies
• Preparation and submission of oil and gas production reports for state and federal reporting. NM, and TX a plus
• Mentor and train other team members regarding systems and processes
EDUCATION:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred
RELATED EXPERIENCE:
• 3 to 8 years production experience preferred
• Oil/gas experience required
• Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, detail oriented and ability to multi-task
• Strong technical skills required for analysis, interpretation and applying information
• Ability to mentor team members
• Work well in team environment
• Strong computer skills to include MS Office Suite of products, multiple spreadsheet applications and ProCount, Carte, JOYN, eVIN systems along with government agency systems.
