Civil leading hand / Australia

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ON THE TOOLS.

Based in Sydney NSW with occasional regional work, the successful Leading Hand will manage civil, demolition and remediation projects. You will be supported by an experienced leadership team, inhouse delivery resources, and interstate resources where required.
  
The Leading Hand is expected to be present on-site during key milestones, particularly during project kick-off, and this will mean travelling to project sites - this is an essential requirement of the role.
  
The Leading Hand is expected to have a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience and should hold sufficient competence and technical understanding within a specific discipline offered by the business (ie. environmental sciences, chemistry, process engineering, mechanical engineering, corporate / strategic management and/or relevant specialized tradesperson). 
  
Job Requirements

• Planning and scheduling work with staff and contractors to meet project requirements
• Conducting toolbox talks addressing safety, quality, and performance standards
• On-site supervision of sub-contractors ensuring timeliness and quality standards are met
• Facilitating regular and reliable delivery for the client along with operational updates
• Ability to read and review construction drawings and plans
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Someone who champions a safe working environment
• Someone who will take a hands-on approach

  
Skills Required

• Civil Trade qualifications or equivalent
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Cert IV in Training and Assessing / WHS (Desirable)
• Extensive Civil Construction/ Remediation Experience
• Driver’s license required
