An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HSE Specialist to work with a Global Operator in Perth CBD for an initial 12-month contract, with potential for extension.
Position Description:
We are looking for an HSE Specialist who will directly be supporting the Wheatstone HSE site team (Platform and Onslow) progress HSE activities with a focus on fatality and serious injury prevention and simplification and alignment across Wheatstone facilities and ABU assets.

We are looking for an HSE Specialist who will directly be supporting the Wheatstone HSE site team (Platform and Onslow) progress HSE activities with a focus on fatality and serious injury prevention and simplification and alignment across Wheatstone facilities and ABU assets.
Additionally, the HSE Specialist will be:
- A key focal point for regulatory and JVP engagements including reporting of incidents and investigation outcomes, supporting audits/inspections, and providing HSE performance updates.
- Working closely with the WHS Process Safety and Produce Environment teams as required.
- Working across the updated OEMS with a focus on serious incident prevention efforts and HOP
- Leading and/or supporting asset and functional HSE projects
- Supporting incident investigation, including participating in, reviewing and/or facilitating approved Incident investigation methodologies as required
- Demonstrated ability to be a visible HSE professional that provides clear direction and advice to support safe and environmentally responsible execution of work scopes in line with the updated OEMS and aligning with Human and Organisational (HOP) concepts.
- Relevant understanding of Western Australian and Commonwealth HSE legislation in a field environment, including regulatory reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build respectful and trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders including regulators, JPVs, site leaders and the broader workforce including frontline personnel and business partners
- Demonstrated ability to proactively influence improvements in fatality and serious incident prevention efforts and environmental performance, proactively adjusting priorities as conditions change and helping others do the same
- Qualifications in Health, Safety and Environment
- Minimum 5 years of HSE experience
- Experience in working in a resource company operating site, in health & safety
- Experience working on an oil and gas facility
- MSIC and TBOISET
