Principal Technical Safety Engineer / Wokingham

The Role

The client is currently looking for a Principal Technical Safety Engineer to support their EPC operations. These works include providing front-end studies, engineering, procurement and project management services for initiating and executing oil and gas field, HVDC, renewable energy and carbon capture developments. Responsibilities

Responsible for delivering quality engineering design for onshore / offshore facilities.

Prepare and finish all the documents and drawings for the detailed design phase and update and revise the related documents and drawings on time according to construction requirements.

Prepare specifications, data sheets, requisitions for safety equipment and carry out technical assessment of supplier bids

Prepare safety layouts such as hazardous area classification, escape routes, F&G detector layouts and safety sign layouts

Interface coordination with other engineering disciplines and third parties

Prepare and complete all the documents according to local authorities' requirements

Attend co-ordination and engineering review meetings as per project requirements

 

Skills Required

Be able to perform engineering for different project phases from initial feasibility study, concept design, basic design to final detailed design.

Sound knowledge of the relevant design codes for the design of offshore installations

Knowledge of design safety reviews / assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, Emergency escape & Evacuation assessment and working environment health risk assessment (WEHRA)
