Contract: Financial Analyst / Calgary

The highly valued Oil and Gas client is seeking to add a Financial Analyst to their team on a long-term contract, located in Calgary, AB!

The Opportunity:

The Client's Financial Reporting team is evolving to meet the needs of their business and they are expanding their presence in Calgary, Alberta.

The Client is seeking a senior Accountant, reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting, with working level supervision provided primarily by the Team Lead, Internal Reporting. The candidate will have proven knowledge and experience supporting the preparation of accurate financial information and activities that support the team. The ideal candidate is skilled and competent in communication of accurate and timely financial results for the Client's organization.

What you’ll do

-Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for the department and reconciliations to the organization
-Contribute in the preparation of the quarterly and annual notes to the consolidated financial statements of the organization
-Assist in the quarterly preparation of financial statement, support schedules and coordinate with business units on analysis
-Complete statistics Canada reports, quarterly and annual
-Complete pension plan annual financial statements
-Working with 9 other on the Financial Reporting Projects Team - reporting to the team lead


Qualifications

-Must Have CGA, CIA, CMA and CPA
-Related Undergraduate Degree i.e ( Commerce, economics, accounting etc. ) 
-8-10 years of relevant experience
-Financial Reporting background would be considered an asset
-Oil and Gas Accounting experience would be considered an asset
-Understanding of SAP and BPC modules would be considered an asset
