Contract: Financial Business Analyst / Calgary

The client is seeking a Financial Business Analyst for a yearlong contract in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities:

• System implementation support:

o SAP conversion to S/4 Hana implementation in 2023

o Conducting system testing for the business analysis teams

o Supporting ancillary system compatibility testing and tie-in to new ERP

o Ensuring knowledge sharing and training across the teams as system changes are decisioned and implemented

o Establishing process updates to align with new system capabilities

• Business analysis support to the team, including:

o AFE set-up and reporting

o Approvals support and policy alignment

o Monthly accruals, reporting and variance analysis on operating costs and/or capital

o Coordination of asset forecasts, budgets, and long-range plan support

o Internal and external audit support

o Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of ongoing improvement efforts to streamline and enhance financial processes

o Support maintenance and development of key tools and models

o Support corporate reporting and adhoc asset team and leadership requests

o General Finance support to both asset development and operations teams

 

Qualifications:

• Intermediate level Business Analyst; minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
• Experience with SAP, PowerBI, strong Excel skills
• Experience with system implementations
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with various teams
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects/priorities
• Demonstrate adaptability through resourcefulness, flexibility, and positivity
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
