Contract: Maintenance Technician (Mechanic) / Grande Prairie

The valued client is seeking a Mechanic (Maintenance Technician) to come work out of Grand Prairie. There is the option for this role to be either a  shop-based role or a field based role.  The rotation for this is role is a 10/4. For the shop mechanic, it is preferred that the candidates be local and no LOA or travel allowance is given. For the field mechanics, a travel and LOA may be paid.

About This Role

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance services, including basic engine and transmission repairs. Performs basic repairs on tractors and trailers. Assists the Maintenance team positions with repairs and troubleshooting

General Tasks and Requirements

• Preferred 3 years of oil field maintenance experience
• Advanced knowledge of how to use engine/transmission diagnostic software
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic shooting and repair
• Engine trouble shooting repair and replacement
• Understands hydraulic formulas and how to do calculations for flow
• Basic understand of Lime Software
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electronic schematics
• Can weld and fabricate at a proficient level
• Must follow all safety regulations and standards
• Journeyman Red Seal Certification
