The company has a current vacancy for an experienced Project Scheduler/Planner to work at our Teesside Operations.
Reporting to the Programmes & Shutdowns Team Leader and working within our planning and scheduling team, the candidate will be responsible for the ownership and updating of a portfolio of project schedules. This includes the delivery and control of medium term project resource forecasting, the 1-2 week project execution schedule and adherence to site planning and scheduling standards.

Reporting to the Programmes & Shutdowns Team Leader and working within our planning and scheduling team, the candidate will be responsible for the ownership and updating of a portfolio of project schedules. This includes the delivery and control of medium term project resource forecasting, the 1-2 week project execution schedule and adherence to site planning and scheduling standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Development, ownership and routine updates of multi-discipline project schedules.
- Upload of trade job cards into Primavera P6 to develop the project execution schedule during the planning and preps phase with due consideration of simultaneous operations (SIMOPS), trade labour availability and other working constraints.
- Input project requirements into the site monthly resource forecasting process and communicate project requirements to key stakeholders
- Attend key Planning and Scheduling meetings (Weekly resource allocation meeting / Weekly schedule sign off meeting / 6-week planning gate meeting)
- Develop and submit the 1-week schedule for review and sign off
- Develop and maintain project change register and planning dashboards
- Work closely with operational zone leads, co-ordinators, functional engineer’s and trade supervisors to ensure work is correctly prioritised and scheduled
- Liaise with the Work Delivery Lead to improve planning and scheduling performance
- Monitor planning performance using appropriate metrics
- Preparation of monthly Progress Reports and ‘S’ Curves, including interface with progress reporting for earned value reporting & analysis.
- Integration of sub-contract schedules and progress into the overall Integrated Project Schedule.
- Support the development of Planning & Scheduling procedures, processes and good working practices.
Competency Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 - Mandatory
- Project delivery experience in the oil and gas industry or other regulated industry – Essential
- Strong understanding of activity scheduling, planning and site working standards – Essential
- Possess an understanding of engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Rotating, Instrument, Electrical, Civil, Asset Integrity, and Rotating – Essential
- Knowledge of engineering principles and proven ability to apply them to real-world problems – Essential
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with good communication and workload management – Essential
- Ability to use Microsoft packages and SAP - Essential
