Associate Specialist (Electrical & Instrumentation) / Arbil

We are looking for Local candidates to work as Associate Specialist (Electrical & Instrumentation) for an International Oil and Gas company in Kurdistan.

Job Summary:

Carries out the electrical maintenance and repairs of various types of electrical, static & rotating equipment at company facilities. Regular monitoring and rectification of defective equipment, disassembly, repair and reassembly of equipment and assisting in the installation and testing of new machinery. Duties carried out independently or under instructions, the complete or partial overhaul of plant equipment.



Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring the duties of the position are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
• Performs preventive/predictive maintenance procedures on equipment, performs inspections required by company.
• Always maximize the reliability & availability of plant equipment.
• Carries out routine maintenance on rotating equipment, carries out visual checks of seals for leaks, disassembles equipment, replaces parts as directed, cleans equipment, replaces packing and gaskets, repairs as appropriate, checks bearings and reassembles. Ensures correct alignment and tolerances, using precision measurement instruments, such as laser alignment equipment, DTI clock gauges, micrometers, gauges and verniers.
• Carries out routine maintenance on rotating electrical equipment, carries out visual checks of motor control units, cubicles, power cables, gland's terminals, electrical heat tracing equipment, etc. disassembles electrical equipment, replaces parts as directed, and cleans equipment. Ensures integrity of connections joints etc. by using proper electrical instruments as required such as electrical insulation resistance, electrical megger, etc.
• Assists in planning annual shutdown and major equipment turnarounds and carries out complete overhaul rotating equipment. Reassembles and tests equipment in accordance with requirements or tests schedules.
• Assists in inspection of equipment for its healthiness.
• Strict adherence to plant safety protocols, permit to work system (PTW) and good housekeeping requirements. Adhere to the work management process of company procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Minimum).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance of rotary equipment in Oil and Gas industry.
• Excellent command of English and Kurdish languages.
• Strong Microsoft Office competency.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
• A team player with good ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• A willingness and ability to develop their own skill set by the job training.
