The client, a major O&G operator is currently looking for a Senior Manager- Portfolio & Resource (Subsurface) on a permanent basis. Based in Aberdeen, UK.
Purpose of Role:
• Accountable for maximising Hub value by helping set and deliver business plan targets for production, resource maturation, HSEQ, integrity, project delivery, reserves, costs and growth added within the Hub
MAE/MATTE and HSE Critical Responsibilities:
• Specific responsibility for hydrocarbon maturation, production delivery, forecasting, resource forecasting, production optimisation and well intervention.
• Ensures that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and they comply with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Client HSEQ procedures
Areas of Responsibility Competence Level:
• As a member of the Hub Leadership Team, help develop strategic plans that interface commercial, subsurface, decommissioning, facilities, drilling and operations to achieve business objectives for the Hub
• Has a business awareness with regard to asset plans, budget cycles and activity within the Hub such that any identified opportunity is aligned with the overall Hub Strategy
• Develops and executes technical strategies to maximise production and value for the Hub
• Ensures technical learnings, best practices and novel technologies are implemented on the Hub
• Develop and communicate clear strategy and direction for the Hub Subsurface Team
• Create and move new drilling and well servicing value adding opportunities through the project governance and approval process
• Identify and mature opportunities in a timely manner to improve value. Maintain a portfolio ranking of all opportunities
• Ensure accurate input to reserves process, in year and long-range production forecasting and production efficiency input
• Ensure conformance to all required internal and external standards
• Liaise with Exploration Group & Subsurface & Resource department to maximise high value new opportunities to the hub.
• Maintain and enhance functional strength via Subsurface & Resource Department
• Maintain and enhance reputation to external stakeholders including OGA/CoV’s
• Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager.
Critical Skills Qualifications Experience, etc.:
• A degree in Sciences, Petroleum Engineering or equivalent, with comprehensive technical commercial or finance experience
• Has extensive technical and leadership competencies
• The ability to analyse data, assess risks and understand subsurface uncertainties in complex, multi-disciplinary teams
• Good understanding of business principles and managing financial performance
• Demonstrable stakeholder management skills both internally and externally – ability to learn from and influence others
Specific Introductory Requirements
• Awareness of Client HSEQ Policies and Business Management System (BMS)
• Awareness of Client Values & Business Principles
• Detailed knowledge of Client Business Plan
