The client, and international oilfield service company, has a permanent opportunity for an Operations Manager to be based in the Houston, TX area.

Job Summary

As the Operations Manager, you will manage (& grow) the US Operational Team. The role will incorporate management of field operations, field crews and shop facilities to ensure the successful execution of projects. This opportunity offers a platform for people to excel personally, while contributing to the success of their industry leading SMART Pipeline Solutions.

  • Lead and grow USA Operational Team.
  • Generate new sales and promote customer awareness of products and services through
  • direct customer communication.
  • Active involvement and contribution to the team in identifying areas that generate new business, enhance existing business, create customer satisfaction.
  • Support Field crew and participate as necessary including field travel and work.
  • Lead, Manage and co-ordinate all aspects of Operations within the territory, including Project and technical logistics, personnel logistics, travel, equipment mob/demob, planning overviews and project resource coordination.
  • Provide logistical / operational overview of Projects.
  • Work closely with internal colleagues to deliver the final outputs.
  • Monitor and coordinate training / certification requirements for Project personnel, particularly those required by HSE for field work.
  • Effective communication with Project Managers to ensure smooth management of operational aspects within client projects.
  • Deal with customer’s project logistical enquiries and problems, as well as forwarding specific technical queries on to appropriate team resources.
  • Ensure conformity to State and Federal regulations of work.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders on status, condition and progress of projects where appropriate.
  • Development of short and long-term planning initiatives for continuous improvement and delivery of operational excellence.
 Requirements

  • Degree/diploma or equivalent in relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of senior experience in pipeline pigging/ ILI sector
  • Previous experience working within multi cultured organizations or on international projects
  • 3+ years of strong leadership and management experience required
  • Top level communication skills & experience in working proactively to align regional Operations with company-wide ISO standards and customer needs
  • Must pass pre-employment background checks and possess the right to work in the USA
