We are looking for Local candidates to work as Trainee Storekeeper for an International Oil and Gas company in Kurdistan.


Contract Type: Permanent
Working Schedule: 6 days per week
Location: Duhok

Job Summary:
WH Supervisor, Materials Coordinator, Assistant Storekeeper, Trainee Storekeeper/Administration, WH Manager, Field Manager, Maintenance Team, Project teams, and Production teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To take instructions from WH Assistant, Storekeeper, and Supervisor to assist in the daily operation of the warehouse.
  • To learn about the different material management functions and accept advice and teaching from WH Storekeeper and Supervisor, for example:
  1. Checking the received Purchase Order (PO) material deliveries and advise on the materials received, including any discrepancies, (involving QA/QC if required) storage, properly, bin location, labeling, update Epicor, reporting to end user.
  2. Ensure proper chemical handling and storage and First In, First Out (FIFO), Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) compliance; daily verify and report stock, chemicals circumstances and expiration dates.
  3. To ensure the receipt, storage and issue of all materials is conducted in accordance with good warehousing practices.
  4. To check all materials returned to the warehouse from field are in accordance with the documentation and in good condition.
  5. Manual Loading / Off-loading of materials and equipment.
  6. Operate Forklift as required (after training and certification achieved).
  7. Prepare materials from Job Order requests for end-users in a timely manner.
  8. Ensure Epicor transactions are processed accurately.
  9. Ensure that items are appropriately placed on shelves and racks (Bins) according to their types and sizes.
  10. Ensure that all materials stored are in good condition and report any damaged/expired materials promptly.
  11. To assist in cycle stock and general inventory checks by recording, counting & moving materials as instructed.
  12. Assist in reporting of warehouse general consumable usage to assist in the re-ordering process.
  13. Carry out required housekeeping duties at the end of every working day as instructed.
  • At all times adhere to: -
    1. DNO HSSE Standards and Procedures.
    2. DNO Code of Conduct.
Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse experience of at least 2 years with Oil & Gas materials is an advantage.
  • Preference minimum of diploma educational standard.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in Kurdish and English.
  • Some PC Experience (Microsoft Office)
