Sr. Business Analyst.
Position Overview:
The Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) will provide subject matter expertise in support of the Supply and Trading organization, serve as the bridge between the user community and IT, and deliver new and enhanced functionality for the business. The role spans business process, strategy delivery, and application expertise. The Sr. BA will have expert functional knowledge in trading and risk processes. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to provide functional and technical support to the Middle Office business users. This will include amending or designing work processes, handoffs, and controls in conjunction with other teams. Operating as an internal consultant in the Trading and Risk Management systems and processes, the Sr. BA will capture the business value by continuously improving technology, processes, and organizational capabilities associated with the use of the systems. The successful candidate will provide input into projects, interfaces, enhancements, application designs, and business process designs supporting the Trading business.

Responsibilities:
Individual will:
- Create and foster a collaborative partnership between IT and business customers
- Work with the business to ensure new markets, products and strategies can be supported which may include modeling complex business scenarios in the systems
- Translate business needs and objectives into requirements and source IT services to develop solutions
- Set, communicate, and manage customer expectations regarding IT service, delivery, costs, and value
- Review available solutions, present options, and provide recommendations to business customers
- Provide process expertise and business context to process design and architecture teams,
- Support work management activities:
- Work preparation, prioritization, and planning
- Create business value estimates
- Create and manage timelines
- Address issue and risk management
- Facilitate business customer training
- Represent Middle Office interests in cross-business forums that relate to process and system architecture to ensure the Middle Office is not adversely affected by any changes
- Advocate IT policies, strategies, and practices
- Appropriately and professionally representing the company
Qualifications:
- B.S. in relevant field
- 8+ years’ Business analyst experience in the Energy Trading sector
- 5+ years of experience working as a Middle Office business analyst with expertise in ETRM applications at an integrated oil & gas company
- 3+ years of experience with RightAngle
- Demonstrated experience in functional design, including the ability to articulate change requirements, document the requirements in design specifications, and support the development and testing that follows
- Experience with Production support activities
- Experience creating process flows and technical documentation
- Ability to proactively identify problems and limitations with RightAngle and recommend solutions.
- Experience with initiatives which have encompassed the following:

- Package software implementation
- Change Management activities
- Knowledge Transfer/Training Activities
- Self-reliant Individual with demonstrated ability to quickly add value to an organization
- Experience in an Agile or Iterative environment
- Action oriented, high level of energy and results oriented
- Subject matter expertise in:
- Deal valuation (linear and non-linear)
- PNL attribution
- Market prices and curve marking
- Risk and physical positions
- Familiarity with risk analytics such as V@R, Potential Future Exposure (PFE), Historical Stress, and Future Market Exposure (FME)
